The kitchen. Dig it. The rest of the house may be covered in molted white cat hairs and carpets that don’t fit and detritus from months of building work…but this — this is a little (well big) slice of heaven.
It’s like having a gigantic Rothko, Klee or Hepworth right in your very own house, to look at for hours and walk around and be in. That’s how pleasing it is to live with.

Who cares about the mess in the rest of the house? This is absoblumelutely GORGEOUS!

Yes please Deborah — you are welcome ANYTIME!
It really *is* pretty life-changing. Before we were human obstacles propping up doorframes while talking, and tripping over each other while unloading the dishwasher or getting something out of the fridge (both in other rooms), and actually not using the bulk of the space because it was cut off by a wall between…So all walls down, entrance moved, garden door added, body/space movement thought through. Ah!
And we DO sit there. And the children DO do their homework there. And we are having the two first casual folks over on Sunday. Hurray! We will open a bottle of bubbly methinks….

Patricia, that is LOVELY. What was your first meal cooked here? And I’ve tagged you on my blog btw - as I have Deborah and Sue commenting above. That’s nicely random in itself! Looking forward to seeing what you say about yourself.
